We made a little error in the pricing of our 50pcs spindle of DVD+R and it sure was an expensive lesson. Suddenly we had orders coming in and were jumping for joy only to realise the reason.
However, we decided to honour the deal as it was a mistake on our part. As long as it doesn't bankrupt us, we would take this as an expensive lesson. We would even like to thank these customers for even coming to our website and placing an order with us.
Though they may only be a one-off customers, Munchie Moose (both Lil Moosie and Big Moose) believe in the integrity and ethics of doing business. Online businesses should be conducted the same way as brick and mortar shops. Same set of standards.
Big Moose is going to dock Lil Moosie's pay…I hope not.

Sony products are undeniably of high quality and they have great customer service. All Sony products sold on our website would have the same warranty as those bought from the brick and mortar stores.
As we are still in the process of adding to our selection of products, please drop us an email if there is a particular item you wish to enquire that is not found in our website (yet). We'll be most happy to help you.

Every entrepreneur thinking of starting a small business would have come up with a long list of questions. But i think the most obvious question is "How can I find products to sell on a small budget?". Unless you have the backing of a bank or a rich family member, most of us struggle with this problem.
How do we find products that are popular? We struggle because what u see in the shops can easily be bought by your target consumers. Well, there are 2 ways:
1) Make something up!
What I mean is to do your own craft pieces. DIY jewellery is all the rage now. Beads, crystals, necklaces, bracelets, earrings.
This doesn't limit to just jewellery. You can do pottery, art pieces..ANYTHING! Since everything is crafted by you, customers have no other places to shop but with YOU!
2) Import some products that aren't found in your country/city
This is where most people struggle. Most manufacturers have a minimum order in terms of quantity or amount. How can we afford to import when we have minimal budget?? There are custom duties, taxes on top of paying for that order.
How do we know that manufacturer is a reputable one? Oh well…you wouldn't really know until you have some experience dealing with them. For me, I don't really trust 3rd party security trust reports.
I think the best bet for all the entrepreneurs-to-be, is to find someone who's willing to export a smaller quantity to you, or a sample. Even if something goes wrong, at least you're not going to lose as much.
Communicate with that person/company and get a general feel of their professionalism. Get as much information as you can and don't be afraid to ask!
Sometimes, you may even develop a good and lasting working relationship with them. Barter trade is even possible down the road.
For Munchie Moose, we have faced a lot of similar problems as listed here and hence, would like to share our experience with everyone out there.
We are always on the lookout to do small businesses with overseas suppliers as well. If you have something we have, tell us what you can offer us and we may even get our own barter trade going on.

I was searching for answers on how to get the sidebar on every page of my Wordpress blog when after some trials and errors (yes, I'm a genius), I managed to get it working.
3 Simple Steps:
1) wordpress/wp-content/themes/blix/header.php
change the following line
<body><div id="container"< ?php if (is_page() && !is_page("archives")) echo " class=\"singlecol\""; ?>></div></body>
to
<body><div id="container">
2) wordpress/wp-content/themes/blix/page.php
Look for
<!– /content –>
< ?php get_footer(); ?>
and add
< ?php get_sidebar(); ?>
so that it looks like
<!– /content –>
< ?php get_sidebar(); ?>
< ?php get_footer(); ?>
3) wordpress/wp-content/themes/blix/sidebar.php
Change
<?php if (is_home()) { ?>
to
<?php if (is_home() || is_page("e.g. contacts")) { ?>
This is to add the sidebar to your pages. If you want to just add the sidebar to all your posts,
change it to
<?php if (is_home() || is_category()) { ?>
That's it! Hope this helps.

Anyone heard of Pinhole spectacles? Recently I came across this invention and decided to give it a try. A bit of information about my vision. I started wearing spectacles since I was about 9 or 10. My current vision stands at 700 degrees in my right eye and 650 in my left. Technically, I am blind if i take off my contact lens or spectacles.
So, why not try this pinhole spectacles?
How does Pinhole glasses work?

Who will benefit from this pinhole glasses?
Anyone who suffers (yes…SUFFERS) from:
- myopia (near-sightedness)
- hyperopia (long-sightedness)
- presbyopia
- astigmatism
- cataracts
My mum got a shock of her life when i started screaming today, after wearing the pinhole glasses for the first time today.
Me: Mummmmmmmmmy!!! I can see! I can SEE!
Mum (runs into the room): WHaT!?!?
Me: I can see the TV!
Mum: TV so big, of course you can see it. What are you doing with the sunglasses at night?
Me: No, i mean i can see the man on the tv program clearly! I can even see the words.
Mum: Really? You wearing contact lens?
Me: No no..come try this!
My mum has hyeropia and she tried on the glasses. I gave her a printed document and asked her to read.
Mum: Hey! I can see too!! I can read without my glasses!
So, both of us being so amazed at how effective a simple invention like that started to test in several situations. We realised we can watch telly and read papers with better clarity than before.
From seeing everything in a blurred perspective, I was amazed at how clearly I could watch telly without squinting. Though it's not perfectly clear, i could read even the subtitles!
I'll keep updating on the progress of this invention. If you have any question, please feel free to drop a comment!

Well, I guess in all countries … birthdays are often special and sometimes magical too, especially for kids!
I remember when I was much younger that Dad and Mum didn't really fuss too much on organising birthday parties for me…and the most elaborate party I ever had was when I was 1?? Err..how the heck does one remember what happened during that time?
Don't ask me what happened the year after and year after next…I can only remember that parties often constituted of two important routines till this day…of course; (a) a dinner & (b) family members crooning to the chorus "Happy Birthday to You"…..
Guess nowadays..things are just different. Children want cool parties with balloons, clowns, magic shows, barbeques, a McDonald's or KFC party, pirate-themed, princess-themed and many more "you name it, we'll have it" kind'a stunts at their parties. And parents these days do make their childrens' dreams come true.
I've seen parents that plan months ahead gettting ready for their child's big day! For gawd's sake, it's a birthday party…not your boy's or girl's wedding day! But hey …if you belong to the league of parents that are surreal…here are some tips to make your child's birthday a memorable experience!
1) Remember to invite Junior's good friends (not forgetting Junior's best friend, of course). The party will never BE THE SAME if their "best friend" is not invited!
2) Plan the food and venue where you're going to have the party and make bookings beforehand.
3) Prepare games and loot bags for the children. No children will like to go home empty-handed from a party, trust me!
5) Remember to spice up the party with lil'
party gags or
tricks that will set the children to roll in balls of laughter.
….oh…and don't forget to give Junior's best birthday gift of all on the big day….
that is….
… be at the party to celebrate with all your love or call back wherever you are to wish Junior a very Happy Birthday! And don't forget to tell Junior…you love her!
Till then….

Ooo…thinking about food makes me drool with anticipation. I remember missing food back home such as mom's cooking, and certain delicacies when I was overseas for a
period of time. Well, when you are overseas and desperate for local delicacy…things were slightly costly (for me then…) so I actually took to cooking them myself with the help of condiments, sauces etc. as a remedy for homesickness.
Laksa - anybody that has stayed in SE Asia will know what great stuff this is. Ooo…what's best about this dish? The sauce of course…imagine a curry-like gravy made from spices, herbs, dried shrimp, coconut milk and chilli. Heavenly!
Stir-Fry Belacan Kangkong - belacan kangkong are both Malay words. belacan is shrimp paste and kangkong refers to water spinach. This is primarily a signature dish in Malaysian cuisine.

Ayam Masak Merah - in Malay, ayam means chicken and masak merah indicates a way of cooking in tomato sauce with a tinge of spiciness to it. A very appetizing dish indeed.

Bak Kut Teh - who can miss this delicacy? One of my many favourites. Highly recommended!

Fried Hokkien Mee - It's a simple dish, really. But nice… (oo..yah.. and you gotta' and have to add in the big prawns!!)
So, you guys should really try these stuff…it's nice…hell ya! Bon Appétit!
Till then….

Ahem…so why “stuck in the middle”…you must ask, hurh? We’re in the middle …in hot, sunny tropical humid South-East Asia It’s not just about the weather, of course that we’ll be talking about. We’ll fill you in with interesting experiences, tips, news etc of the lifestyle, culture, products, latest goss of people living near the equator.
Take 1: If you can’t read the labels, then “smoke” (metaphorically of course) your way through…!
Rooz: hey, did you know that coffee-shops uncle here don’t call Milo as “Milo”?
Kiwiyz: hurh? what you mean? “Milo” is milo right?
Rooz: no ..no…uncles/aunties here affectionately call ‘em tark kiu. (coincidentally in the Hokkien dialect, tark kiu means kicking a ball)
Kiwiyz: ???? (oh, found out later that …uncles/aunties here that are not familiar with the English language use pictures to help ‘em out)
Take 2: Sum of the whole is better than its parts
(on another occassion)
Kiwiyz: Hey…guess what I had today? It’s actually quite nice, that drink…
Rooz: Err…what? Pepsi, Coke, Coffee, Tea…
Kiwiyz: Noooo…it’s yuen-yang. Bet ya never tried that before hurh?!You know..when they mix tea and coffee together.
Rooz: *rolls eyes*..(silence)…then..I’ve tried that before, you ninny!!
(p/s: if all else fails, just mix two things together, some sparks will fly..somehow, someway..sounds a lil like an arranged marriage?)
And FYI, did you know that….
1) barley - refreshing and cooling. It helps to get rid off “internal heat” in the body.
2) ginger tea - fight winter sniffles. It also aids in digestion and blood circulation.
3) longan and red dates tea - calms nerves and aids in improving the countenance of an individual.
4) chrysanthemum tea - reduces “internal heat” and mild sunstroke.
5) “peng” as in kopi-peng or teh-peng refers to ice; “tarik” as in teh-tarik refers to the method used to cool down a hot cuppa’ tea. “tarik” in Malay means “pull”. The tea usually has a frothy top.
6) “O” as in kopi-0 refers to “without milk”
adios..till… i dig out more interesting news, tips for you guys next time..
